Seems to me like 87 octane gives me much more gas milage than the 91. Is this true? It seems like it would be, but then the question is how much cheaper does the 87 have to be in order for it to be saving you money....and then how MUCH are you saving?

If the 87 octane is already saving you money, why does it have to be cheaper to save you money?
If your SHO will run without pinging on 87, then that is the best gas to use as it does not have as much addives that slow burning and which foul plugs, etc. Premium gas does not mean better gas, just slower burning gas with more foul causing additives.

Unless you have superchip, lower octane is perfect for the sho.Like mention already ,you want to burn the gas you have. The better the air fuel mixture the more power you have.
