I want to start of by saying I am new to the SHO world so forgive me if this is a stupid question. I need to replace my O2 sensors, the first question I have is, are the O2 sensors you can get from say Advanced Auto parts just as good as Ford? Since they are like half the price that is what I'd rather do. Second question is where are they located exactly and how difficult are they to change?

By they way I have a 93 ATX. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome! To answer your question, Bosch O2s work quite well and I have been running them for years in all my shos.....Replacing the rear one is kinda tricky to get at the plug and you will need to rent an o2 replacement socket from your local Autozone. The best way to get at the rear plug is to lay across the motor with your head by the throttle body and put your left arm along the firewall to unclip the sensor lead.

Good luck and if you need anymore help, just holler!

The front one is easy. Just follow the exhaust pipe forward up to where it splits then follow the frontmost one up until it meets the exhaust manifold. The O2 sensor is just below that coupler. This one is pretty easy to get to. Just disconnect the wires, unscrew it and voila.

The back one is much harder to get to. Again follow the pipe up to where it splits and then follow the back section up to where it meets the manifold. The O2 sensor is just below that coupler. I had to drop the cat and get the whole thing out of the way to get it out (pain in the %&). You can also get to it from the top with the manifold off (again pain in the %^&). If you have someone with small hands that can reacy up there from underneath it's possible to replace it without removing either the manifold or the cat (my nephew did it for me the first time). I couldn't do it though.

Hope this helps.

I noticed that there are 3 variations of O2 sensors the difference being the length of the plug. Does anyone know which length I would need or a part number?

Thanks for all the help.
