I am replacing my o2 sensors next week, and I have a question. Do I need one of those special sockets with the slot in it, to remove and replace the o2 sensors? Like the one on the this SHOtimes page . If I need one where can I get one other than Auto Zone.

Thanks,
Mike

For the ATX front sensor you can do it without the O2 socket, but unless you're dropping the y-pipe, the rear will be easiest with the socket. You can buy the socket for about $10, or you can borrow it for free with AutoZone's loan-a-tool program where you just leave a deposit while you borrow the tool.

On the MTX I didn't have any problem removing the O2's by disconnecting the connector and using a box end wrench.

Edit: I did have the y-pipe out while doing this.
