noticed this after owning my sho for 5years

well i didnt know you couldnt lock the doors while the key is on with the doors open soon as i hit lock the car unlocks..

anyone know about this i just learned something new..

anyone know of any other things the car does like this??

Both my '99 slo and my '93 SHO will allow me to lock with the keypad while the car is running. I first noticed this in my slo when I pulled up to the curb to run into a store. I left it running, closed the door, hit 7/9 on the keypad for the lock and it immediately unlocked. I tried it several times until it finally stayed locked and ever since it stays locked. Same story with my SHO.

I cant do this in my element. If i have the driver door open and hit lock it automatically unlocks the door. my SHO on the other hand locks.

On all SHO's, if the door is closed and the car is sunning, you can lock it with the 7/9 combo. If the car is running and the drivers door is open and you hit the lock switch inside, it will lock and immediately unlock.

my truck does something similar. if i go to get gas and leave the truck unlocked it wont start when i get back in it, unless i hit the alarm again.

Hate it when my car goes "sunning", uses up all the tanning lotion,never leaves enough to recondtion the seats,and there is crystal whitesand everwhere throughout the car. Just no respect and it has to end! Now she cannot leave the garage without proper supervision!
