I'm having a NOS fogger system , 50 shot , installed in my 93 ATX , before I go all out and start spraying people left and right I'm having a 60k and exhaust put in , but am I over looking anything important I must do maintanance wise?

Full 60k and 1-2° cooler copper spark plugs. Do not run the PP plugs. Make sure that your fuel pressure is good, if you lean out you're going to blow her. It's better to run a rich when using the nitrous even though running rich is bad for the cats, it's better for your engine.

Edit: Hmmm...fogger system eh? You might want to dump that and go for a dry kit. ;)

A fogger system may lead to cracked pistons. Fuel does not flow well in the SHO intake and may puddle. When the fuel puddles, it does not make it into the cylinder. That will defeat the whole purpose of a wet kit. Since a wet system does not boost fuel pressure, you'll be running very lean due to the N2O and the lack of extra fuel.

'93 ATX, isn't this a pretty weak drivetrain for a stock SHO, let alone one sporting a 50 shot?

Don't get wet. Use a dry kit.

Also, be sure to use a throttle operated switch and don't use a hand operated trigger. If something goes wrong (tire spin, noise, slip, ping, whatever), your first reaction is to lift. If you're using a hand operated switch, lifting off the trigger is second.

I killed 2 motors before figuring this out. I finally did end up with a wet kit. 6 foggers nozzles, each mounted in the short runners. Took some time to get dialed in, but once I did, it ran two whole seasons on the same set of plugs.

If it's the stock ATX, it'll make a couple of passes before you figure out it's not gonna take another. Watch out on the 2-3 shift. That's the weakest one.

fogger system

a fogger system is a great way to go as long as the nozzles are directed directly into each cylinder. What most people are saying is not to use a single nozzle system because the fuel will puddle.

For a weak 50 shot as you want, dont worry about adding the extra fuel, use a dry kit and have it spike the pressure for the added fuel, this is much simpler and cheaper.

Anyone looking for a manifold that's already plumbed? My manifold has been sitting in the warehouse since I got the blower on.

First $500 takes it.

It's a great upgrade for some one that wants to step up. It's pilled for about 130hp and will fit on any year MTX (no EGR).

I agree a 50 shot is pretty weak but eventually I'll take it up higher , just thought 50 shot would be a great place to start. Thanks though for the help I was gonna run platinum 4's but I guess that might not be a smart idea I'll pick up copper plugs asap.

DO NOT RUN THOSE PLUGS IN ANY SHO!!!!

I have heard of horror stories of people running those plugs.

Pick up some cheap autolite copper plugs from wal-mart. or you can get the expensive irridum plugs from NGK.

If I was looking to get crazy with N20 (I have a zex kit now) I would take that intake from Mr. Lewis. That is the only way to go with a wet system on the SHO.

It is pretty crazy too. I ran 13.50's at 105mph in the heat of Atlanta. Launch at 4500 on the clutch. Once the clutch gets hooked, I could pat the throttle twice in 1st and just maintain traction, then grab 2nd and leave my foot on the floor. Then lift for the shift into 3rd and 4th.

It's a pretty fun ride.

Just gotta be careful. Nitrous is like Crack Cocaine. "A little feels this good, lets try a little more".

FYI, i'm running iridium plugs and i like them, they were acctually cheaper than stock motorcraft plugs are. i got mine from advance auto, but don't expect them to look them up in the computer, i went to the book.
