You're better off going with the ZEX 82011 nitrous kit, its alot less mess and hassle. Also is the NOS kit you speak of DRY? You should not use wet nitrous kits on SHO's because of the intake design puddling occurs in the intake=SHO BOOM. You could run a 50 shot on a properly maintained SHO engine, but you may want to upgrade your clutch because the stock clutch wont last! Theres alot more to it, and hopefully someone else will chime in and give you more info.

Also try using the search function, there is alot of information on this forum about using nitrous on a SHO. :)

I currently run a 75 shot on a dry NOS kit and it is quite safe. For the price you mentioned the kit is worth it, but a zex kit will be much easier to install as mentioned. The bottle opener new goes for over 165.00 new alone, I should know I have a new one on eBay right now. I forget how much the purge kits go for,but are simple to make. The solenoids are around 60 a piece IIRC, but it could be a little more. Bottle warmers usually go for around 60 or so on eBay.

It will all depend on what you want, what time you want to put into it for install and how easy you want it to be. Zex over NOS for ease of installation. Functioning wise I'd say they're about the same. 75 over 50.....both are safe as long as it's a dry kit, but 50 would more than likely be more safe than 75. There are those who run over 125 but I'm not that daring.

I have a NOS kit and i didn't find install that hard. For $350 it's worth every penny. That's less than EH runners :rofl:
I feel N20 is one of the best mods for a SHO that is raced, and driven daily. :burnout:

its a dry shot , install is pretty easy ,my cousins gonna do it , i was just worried bout if a 75 shot is to much , my friend got it and said the 50 shot on his car would add 58 more hp to his car , what will the 50 or 75 add to the sho?

The engine itself is fully capable of safely handling a 75hp shot. The stock clutch and fuel pump may not like it though. Consider upgrading those items first, or start with a 50hp shot and work up slowly. Dyno tuning with A/F readings would be a good idea.

I gained 41hp and 60lb-ft of torque at the wheels with my Zex 75 hp shot. The A/F was very rich so I should gain a little more once that is tuned properly.

I'd upgrade the clutch, but you can get away with the stock fuel pump if it's in good condition. You will need to upgrade the fuel pump if you go over a 75 shot. :burn_out:

I have that exact combo(stock clutch + 75 shot), but my car is lighter so that may make a difference. I've only run one bottle through it so I can't say what the long term results are. It seems to hold OK, but I imagine sooner or later it will slip and overheat the disc, then it's screwed.

Also don't forget that a 50 shot on a Mustang does not equal a 50 shot on the SHO. There have been posts made by Mark and Jeremy T about what size jets to use on the SHO with the NOS kit for different HP levels.

I've gone through 2 bottles on the 75 shot Zex, and everything is running well! I made sure to switch to copper plugs, and I even put in a 150 L/H fuel pump, just to be sure. Here is a my dyno graph from the recent baySHO dyno day:
565226_7_full.jpg

Green = natural aspiration
Red = 55 shot
Blue = 75 shot

The runs were done without a bottle heater, but with a full bottle (I have no nitrous accesories)
