I recently replaced my rear turbo with a new one and now I THINK my car might not be acting normal. In my mind it doesn't seem normal but I never paid particular attention. Here's what the symptoms are that I'm asking if other vehicles are the same.
When cruising down the highway I think it's building boost too quickly. For example, I'm cruising down the flat highway at 60 mph (in 6th gear) and everything seems normal. Then I will come to a normal incline and the little bit of extra load from going up an incline will cause the car to build to about 1-2 lbs of boost. I don't recall it ever really building boost on the highway (but never actually checked) so it seems abnormal to me. Is this normal for everyone else? Do you build a little bit of boost if you're cruising at ~60 mph and start up an incline?
I connected my tuner and it appears that the vehicle starts to enter boost when the "load value as a fraction" gets above the 0.75 value. That seems to happen when simply cruising at highway speeds (60-65 mpg) and going up an incline. Again, is this normal for everyone's car?
