noisy steering

Anyone have any thoughts on why my steering squeeks when you turn the steering wheel back and forth? Any time you turn the wheel it make a light noise

Inside the vehicle or outside the vehicle? I'm assuming inside...

Yes inside

Not sure about the SHO, but on a few Ford vehicles I've owned, where the steering shaft goes through the firewall, that seal squeeks. Silicone spray will eliminate it at least for a short while. On my '97 Cougar, I eventually gave up and left it, and it went away about 6 months later

The car is telling you something hurts. You know when you get old and your body makes noise when you get out of bed? Same thing.

Anyway, you can find the noise with a stethoscope touching various parts and turning the steering wheel.
