Last week I began to hear squeaking rubbing sound from the passenger side in the rear. The sound isn't too loud but when I role down that sides rear window the sound is very clear. This sound doesn't get louder, or rub faster, or change at all if I accelerate.

Also, around the time I heard this squeak squeak squeak sound, I heard this loud sound that sounded like someone was releasing pressurized air from a cannister, which lasted about 5 seconds; scared the heck out of me. I haven't heard it since, but I still here this squeak sound.

I don't know what that could be coming from that area of the Sho. Could it be a failed strut (that's only 2 month old-Monroe). The car is the same height on that side.

Hope this is sufficient info. for someone to offer some suggestions what to check for.

Take a look under her and see if you see any shock oil running down the strut or in that area. Considering you heard a loud release of pressure, the strut seems like the obvious culprit.

Could be now that you have no dampening, the spring is moving faster, and squeeking on the rubber insert that it sits on.
