noise above 3500 rpm

ok i have a new clutch in now but I am getting a vibration above 3500-4000 rpm. It is a high piched tinny sound that seems to be resonating from the clutch pedal. could this be a problem from the clutch. also i know i have bad engine and transmission mounts could this be allowing this vibration. I was told by the tranny shop that they were bad but i couldn't get replacements any were in my area in time to have them put in.

ps is a rough vibration(not the same one)when applying the brakes, felt through the brake pedal and wheel, definatly warpped rotors, or could it be some thing in the steering system.

The clutch vibration is not related to the brake rotor warpage vibration. I just installed a Ford clutch and throwout bearing in my car and I am also hearing a buzzing, metallic rattle during the first inch or two of clutch pedal travel in the middle rpm range (3000-4000). Your vibration may just need you to lift up on the clutch pedal with about 10 pounds of force to allow the ratchet mechanism to take up any slack in the cable.

After having my own eyes and hands on the clutch parts, I can see where the pressure plate fingers on a new clutch installation may not be perfectly aligned (flat with respect to the throwout bearing face) due to manufacturing tolerances of the pressure plate. If this noise decreases over time, it would be due to the throwout bearing leveling the contact points on each of the fingers to the same level through normal wear. We'll soon see.

Has anyone else heard this noise after a new clutch installation? Anyone? Anyone?

My clutch petal vibrates a little as I drive along, and the clutch does chatter a bit when engaged in idle. This clutch has 5k on it.
