No seat filter 2018?

No mention in the manual of a seat filter but it looks like one should be in the there...the plastic cap screws off and looks like it's designed to hold a filter. I guess Ford determined they had no utility or maybe restricted air flow? I assume there is no benefit to putting a filter in it.

They replaced the filter with a hard piece of plastic with holes in it. So, if the cap you unscrewed has holes in it, that is the new filter design. Just keeps big stuff from getting into the fan.

There's been talk of people using dryer sheets or Febreze sheets to kinda replace that "filter" function, but IDK what the results were/are.

More like they are looking to cut costs wherever they can...
