Hello,

Just changed all of my fluids in the car to amsoil. 2014 SHO with PP. But I can't see a fill plug on the PTU. Mine does have the drain that I see older models do not. I also see older non PP SHO's that have a fill plug clearly visible.

Funny thing I call the dealer and asked how much to change the PTU fluid and he said they never change that. He said it's a sealed unit. I said so are rear ends but they still can have the fluid changed.

I see the cooler and coolant lines for the PTU so I'm thinking that the fill plug might be under that but I'm not sure if it's the torx bits that take off the cooler or the bolt between the cooler lines . I doubt it's filled through the breather tube because that would make it difficult to see how much you have added.

Thanks all

Look for the PTU PDF and download it. Its for a 2013 but I would think 2014 is the same.

Thank you....So where do I find that PDF?

I've looked at a few threads on here and an ecoboost forum and I've seen some pics and my PTU doesn't quite look like some others I've seen

Got it...Cool...I've never got on a site like that...Checking it out now...Thanks JMR

Right!! haha I never would've thought under the temp sensor! I've been going crazy trying to figure out how to fill that thing lol.....Thank you a lot for the link.

I only have 2k on the car and I've seen in some of the other threads that people were curious if the fluid in a new car was black and bad also....I'm actually impressed that the PTU is liquid cooled in this car....They really must've been fighting the heat of the fluids in this platform.

I know with that little mileage a lot of us would like to know the condition of the oil. Change it now while its still hasn't turned into sludge so you can get it all out and put in real oil.

Yeah I plan on it...I've read through a lot of people asking about the PTU's on this car and how to change fluid and people saying there is no fill plugs on some and no drains on others so I can't believe nobody has posted this....Those diagrams are nice and clear on that link too, very nice

I've seen some of the sludge that people have pulled out with low mileage and I almost don't believe it
