Learned something new today. My anti lock brake light flashed on when the brakes were applied. Then the climate control flashed on/off. Checked the battery voltage, 9 volts running. Did the pin point Alternator tests. Ground the I circuit, key on engine off, light came on. Step 2, check voltage from the S circuit, key on engine off, no voltage. The book says the regulator part is bad. My alternator was 26 months old and 15,000 miles. Replaced it free from O-Reilly's, 14.58 volts now.

These had a retail price of $301.00 and I paid $177.00 2 years ago. This 120 amp Alternator is from Malaysia, the other from Mexico. What's wrong with not being able to get one from the USA? We'll see how long the Malaysia one lasts.

Hopefully for a while. Its sad we don't make anything in the USA. If I can find a part made in America I will by it. That's all I can do on my end other than voting.

Go look at the computer your typed your response on. Any US content besides intellectual property? How much of an Apple I-phone or I-pad or the newest Android smartphone is made here?

The US makes plenty of stuff. Just can't afford to build inexpensive widgets that don't require much technology given our cost basis.
