no abs

just found out that my ant lock brakes are not working. the locked right up on me in the snow fuse at left rear of engine compartment is good and i changed the relay up front but still nothing . pluged in a scanner (snap-on) and got no codes. anything else icould check? shrug

See my post above in re ABS Diagnostics. that will get you started. With the sudden onslaught of ABS problems I thought the post might help. I'll Post more diagnostics if folks think it will help. rangerj

while checking my abs i noticed that the anti-lock light does not come on when i start the car. could the bulb be no good causing the anti-lock brakes not to work?

If the ANTI-LOCK Brake ligh does not light when you start the car you may have a bad bulb, or a blown fuse.

The bad bulb will NOT cause the ABS system failure.

The most common cause of ABS system failures are the sensors at the wheels. It is not the only cause, but the most common cause. rangerj
