Everybody else: With this much notice please do your best to attend. I'm trying to make it as central as possible for all members.

To far for me, at least at this point, I don't think I can make a drive like that again, money is running REALLY low!

Was about $120 in gas for the Lapeer meet alone, not that it's horrible, but still, when ya don't got it!

Nah, I'd rather us take the rural route. More fun doncha know. ;) I didn't know you knew that area and Perry might not know that area as well as you so whoever, either one of you is fine with me. :thumb:

I dont know the area all that well. I just know that if we meet at Maumee Park then we can jump right on Rt.2 and it will take us right to Quaker Steak. I cant remember the exit number but like I said my parents live less then 2 miles form there. Thats actually where I grew up and where I used to live untill I moved to Michigan.

Hey Beth...to be honest with ya and knowing how the weather will most likely be, its probably best if we just meet at Quaker Steak......UNLESS we know a head of time that it is going to be a nice weekend for sure. If its going to be a bit nippy out I know I wouldnt want to spend alot of time outside :ruhroh:

Depending on the exact weekend, we'll have to see. I have exams somewhere around that time. I would love to come though! I won't let a small car accident keep me away from that side of the state!

Dave.... you're getting a new car? Sweet!

BTW, if anyone attending this meet has a black genII decklid, I am in need of one at the moment. So if you do have one and are planning on attending, please contact me because mine was vandalized, and I'm in the process of looking for a replacement.

Here's the WTB thread http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=36984

Sorry Bizzy if you don't want this posted here, but I was hoping someone who was attending could possibly help me out.

I'm gonna try to be there, but I have to get some things straightened out first. If I can make it, you'll see me there.

Of course I'll be there again. Last year was White Lightning's grand introduction (woulda been introduced at Lapeer but darn diff pin ejections don't ya know). Since last year was White Lighting's premier this year just might be project 89's premier if all goes well. I'm keeping my ideas hush hush but if the sale of this car goes through it will be finished in time for the convention so ya'll get to see a before and after. I really would prefer we do not take route 2. Two lanes a bunch of truckers... very dangerous. Now I know we are all good drivers but there are always bad accidents on route 2. Just a few months ago 4 people were killed in one. I would rather take 80/90 anyways (turnpike) because we could again do a rolling road block as well as get frisky. Heck maybe I could race Beth again and then swerve onto the off ramp and slam the brakes on. Chris you can bum a ride with me but you must video tape. Maybe Ryan will come too I know he loves to video tape cause when he does he always says, "Damn camera man is the sh*t." I'm glad to see Sean's finally coming to a meet again. Didn't you buy back the Green Plus Sean?

I myself would like to take the turnpike too. Rt 2 is pretty nasty and thats why I was thinking with Rt 280 being closed it wouldnt be worth the trip to go to Maumee Park and then head down Rt 2. It would take a LONG time to get around all that stuff just to get to Maumee Bay and then have to back track X2 to get to Rt 2. It would be ALOT easier to just take the turnpike.

You got me confused matt.
I don;t see it as a big deal to meet at Maumee Park and then take whatever to get to Rt 2 or tollroad.I would really like to meet there. :) Never been there and would probably be there way before 11:00a.m. I think it should be sooner then that. :salute: What on 280(where to where) is closed? You can always cross the river at Maumee to hit 75/475 to get to the toll and then to Rt 2 if wanted. If take Rt 2 we could hit Rt 6 on the east side of Sandusky which turns into the senic route, which is right beside the lake.
There are good and bad of both ways.(senic / tollroad) You could take one way over and the other way back. ;) Or the same way there and back. **** now I'm confused! What was the question again?

Nothing wrong with Rt 2. Besides it's 4 lanes from east Toledo to Maumee Bay State Park. That is almost half way to where it turns into a limited access road. Most of the accidents happen at night, and there have definitely been some bad ones.

If you can read this, you're invited. Since we are equal opportunity molesters, pictures can be substituted for text upon request. Stay tuned for further details. As a consequence of todays "game", blue is not a recommended color to wear.

Bump on this subject. Its time to start talking about it again. :D
Let's see a show of hands on who would be interested in attending and what you think you'd be up for doing.

I originally posted this.
We'll see?

But now I do plan on going. Subject to change of course. :squint:

My hand is in the air to SHOw I am interested. And I vote on meeting at Maumee Bay like you said Beth. But I would like to meet there even earlier, like 9:00 a.m. and no later than 10:00 a.m.(I would be there at 9:00)

The reason is, because I want to make it worth my while and everyone elses. The two main reasons are. I want maxiumum BS time and plus it gets dark early.

Last year just seemed way to short, even though we had fun in that time. :****: You know the caravan thing. Even the one on the way home in the dark.(You know what I mean)

To me, the caravaning is arguably one of the funnest parts of this meet. You know meet up with the people you BS with on here and as always put the name and face together.(Easy for all of you since mine is always looking at you) :finger: Then get in the things that is the reason we are all on here. Then follow and lead(Greg you follow) each other to check out each others rides in action.(Greg if yours is in action) And have a few spirted momments in them. :ruhroh: All the while BS'ing back and forth on the radios and ribbing each other. :jab:

Then get there to BS more and eat. I'm thinking of a steak already! :dribble:
Then do it all over on the way home. :thumb:
