I have a 2013 SHO and I have recently been struggling to maintain oil pressure at idle. Driving is fine but when stopped and idling, the low pressure warning comes on. If I rev it, it goes away. No check engine lights or anything. Seems to drive fine. Although, it won’t redline. Only revs to about 4000 rpm. Any clues?

Welcome. May be as simple as a bad oil pressure switch or major engine problems. Miles on oil? Oil weight? 4000 rpm in neutral or driving? Odd noises?

Kinda funny, I just changed the oil pressure switch on my ‘13 which solved the problem. Basically the same symptoms. Although I stopped driving immediately until the problem was figured out. Oil was leaking through the sensor into the plug.

It’s my daily driver. I have 129k miles. I run 5w30 synthetic. 4000 rpm was in park. No odd noises. Engine still sounds strong. I changed out the oil pressure switch and that seems to have resolved the issue.

I changed out the switch and the problem appears to be resolved. Thanks for the input!
