New tranny

Hey all! I just picked up a 93 SHO that has been somewhat abused and neglected The tranny (an AXOD) is on its way to that big junkyard in the sky and i have heard that the auto trannys are a real weak point in sho's, so i was wondering about what aftermarket parts or different trannys that can be installed to prolong the life of my next tranny. I wokrk in a shop so install time is no biggie, i just dont want to hafto do it more than once. Thanx

I don't have an atx but I would try Sho Nut Performance, Innovative Performance Technologies (IPT), and Ford Specialists of Georgia. They all have great reputations for product and service and I recall many atxers getting their parts from these vendors.
