I just picked up this 2010 SHO with 80000 miles on it. I love it so far and haven't seen a single one with the same color scheme and interior. What are some things maintaince wise you guys think I should get done. Im putting a dynomax axle back on it this week. Thanks

Welcome and nice looking ride. I do like the contrasting colors of the interior, very sharp! Did you get any type of maintenence history when you bought it? I would just check to make sure any outstanding recalls are taken care of and that the fluids are fresh. Otherwise enjoy the car and 80,000 miles is not much with todays vehicles. For a Ford, thats just getting broken in!

It actually had a great service history on Carfax as well as all recalls were done by the dealer. One owner car as well.

You should be good to go! Buy yourself a tuner from livernois and you will really see the potential of the ecoboost!

I don't think it does but you could email or contact Livernois through the forum. According to what I've read from Ford, the transmission and stock internals of the ecoboost are capable of handling up to 600 hp & 600 torque. A tune with 93 octane will put you a bit over 400 so it should handle that no problem. As long as the engine is healthy and well maintained, the tune should not hurt it at all. The stock tunes are for an average driver and the aftermarket tunes pull out more potential but are still safe. IMHO.

Welcome to the community, and congrats on your '10 SHO! Drive the SHO like you would want to drive it, make sure it is performing like you expect it to. Once you feel there are no kinks in the system, time to move on up to a tune. No hesitation, sluggishness, pops/clicks/rattles, etc.

Do you have an Android device? Tablet or smartphone? If you like to watch "the numbers", you can get a program called Torque (Pro version $5) plus an OBD info device (Bluetooth ELM.327) and do that. Tuners will use their own devices for actual data gathering for tuning purposes, but Torque + the OBD adapter will let you have decent insight for cheap.

Welcome to the club. I have the Dynomax axle back and love the sound. If you are planning on tuning the car, change out the plugs to SP534's, gapped at .030. Tuning def wakes up the car.

+1 on the plugs. Re-gap is essential with a tune but its a realatively easy project to do. But thats for another thread. I put Magnaflow mufflers on mine and love the low growl they provide.

Enjoy your new toy whatever you decide to do.
