Hey, I just bought a 1990 SHO recently. It has around 140,000 miles. Only problem is it doesn't run that well. The engine misfires and leaks pretty bad. I believe its in severe need of 60k maintenence. Anyone near south FL that has a good knowledge on doing that come give me a hand. If not, anyone know where I could rent the special tools needed to do them and the shim kit?

Now, to introduce myself. I am not new to the Taurus whatsoever. I own 3 right now, a fully loaded 88 Wagon brought from Germany, and a fully loaded 95 Sable Wagon bought in Alabama. I loved Taurus's since my first one in 2001. I can fix most problems on the SLO's, but now getting my first SHO, things are different under there. I am also a pretty known member on Taurus Car Club of America.

welcome.

to begin your investigation, pull one of the front spark plug boots off to see how badly the seals are leaking on the valve cover. If the wells are full of oil, then yes, you have a bit of work to do.
