Well, with the year winding down, along with the remaining tread on my tires, and winter fast approaching, I think it's time for some new tires. I'm gonna order a full set, but before I do, I wanted to get the opinions of the people on here regarding my final choices.

It'll be either the BF Goodrich Traction T/A's:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...rue&partnum=16VR6TTA&fromCompare1=yes&place=6

or the Bridgestone Potenza G009's:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...ue&partnum=16HR6G009&fromCompare1=yes&place=7

I'm just now passing 1 year with the Potenza's, and for the most part they have been great, even with the tread this low. They definitely aren't a track tire, as I found out at Gingerman Raceway over the summer (temps in the upper 90's + track temps in the 100's = tires doing really weird things  ), but these tires really won't be seeing much of any track next year.

Thanks for the help guys. :thumb:

Pirelli P Zero Nero is what I just got to replace the T/A's ; much smoother and quieter, great handling, and treadwear much better too. A bit more expensive, but very notable improvement in all areas over the BFG's.

Yes, I run the 225/50/16 GoodYear Eagle F1's on my stock slicers. No fitment problems. These are the tires I ran at Thunder Hill, and Indy.

I paid $150.00 a pop! But they are the BEST tires I have ever owned!

I think he was looking at All Season tires - Snow was mentioned.

My wife LOVES her BFG Traction T/A's on her Stratus. 205/60-16's.
I run Bizzacks in the winter on steel rims and G-Force KDW 225/55-16's the rest of the year.

I used to run CompT/A VR4's for all seasons when we lived in KY. They were very good in that environment. Not good enough for CT though!

The Bridgestone G009's and BFG Traction T/As are both very good all season tires. Both are quite sticky on dry and wet pavement, and hold their own in slush and snow.

I have the TractionT/A's on my 98 Contour SVT. They are on only 11 months old with 7,000 miles on them.
They are ready to be replaced now. Not only are they worn dangerously low but they are also worn out of round.
They were really nice brand new but I've had sneakers last longer then these. I know that I wojn't buy another set of these. They cost me $550. For the money, find something better, I will.

I wouldn't trust one bridgestone product right now. One of my dad's potenzas on his porsche (2000 C4) collapsed around the bead near the rim for no appearent reason. Those tires were inflated properly....

Obviously there is something wrong.

Ive got well over 10k on mine, and they still look near new.

What speed rating are yours? There is normally a difference in compound between ratings.
