I was wondering if anyone had any good speakers to recommend, the stock ones in my SHO (93') have seen better days. I plan on replacing all the door speakers and the two 6x9's? 6x8's? in the back. What I'm looking for overall in the new speakers is a loud, clear, crisp quality sound, I'm not really into all that "bumping" just a good quality loud speaker. Thanks.

5x7's or 6x8's are a direct drop in replacement for the gen II rear deck. i've got a pair of old pioneer coax's back there, but they were in the car when i bought it. i replaced the fronts with some boston SL-60 components, and they sound beautiful. if i could,, i'd pick up the 5x7 plates of the same things and drop em in the rears. they sound outstanding with only being powered off the old ass pioneer head unit i got.

I like Polk Momos but I heard they are discontinued. That's what I have in my car, 6.5 up front and 5x7 in the rear. I hear kicker makes a good speaker but unless you are installing aftermarket amps you really don't need any high end speakers.

Ive got Infinity Kappa's in the front doors and i love them. They are by far the best speakers ive ever owned. I baught mine on ebay brand new in the box for $70. Ive had them for about 6 months now with no problems. Every review ive read on them was good.

Im running them on my Alpine HU and they sound great!!

I have OZ audio's in my rear deck and they sound AMAZING. My front speakers are sony's and I can't recommend those. For the front's I would have gone with Cadence 6.5's but I couldn't get them to fit as the basket was sooooo friggin wide it wouldn't go through the stock hole.

I also recommend Boston replacments. They sound great on factory power. I replaced the doors in my Explorer with MACH audio and they sound great. SL-80's and S-85's I think. I can't remember what size they are. 6x8's or 5x7's.

I just put Boston's in my GTP and the 6x9's sound really good for the price. I shopped around on the internet and found really good prices. If you go with the Boston brand I would recommend against the shallow depth S65rc 6" speakers they offer. I purchased those and think the full sized full depth 6.5" would have been a much better sounding product. I think I found each set for around $50-60 and found free shipping for one.
