Hello... I just purchased an Ebony Black 2011 SHO with 2000 miles... build date 7/12/11. Received a lot of good info from this board to make my purchase, and you all have made me aware of what issues to be on the look for.

Just traded in my Legend Lime 2005 Mustang GT that I bought new. It was tough to let that Mustang go, but I wanted a daily driver that was AWD and had some Umph...

So far, I'm impressed... I'm having my lovely wife drive it tonight. Doubt it will get above 3500 rpm :)

Welcome to the forum. Glad you have a SHO but you had to give up your mustang. I have a mustang. When it snows i take my wife to work in her SHO and then I drive to work. Her SHO is a 98 with front wheel drive. A must in Toledo winters.
Another new member (last week) sold his 2004 Cobra Mustang. He got a real great deal on a 2010 6,000 mile SHO. So don't feel too bad about giving up the mustang.

@Ron Porter... Yes! Still have the 62... convertible, 390 Z code, red with white top.

@toledogt... I probably could have held out for a couple more years, with the mild winters we've been having... but saw that the SHO was for sale within an hours drive and decided not to wait any longer. I'm already enjoying the handling... missing the the Borla Stinger sound though (my wife and the neighborhood does not).

Hello, I am new to forum in all especially to the SHO forum! I have only owned my 89 SHO for 9 months and want to learn more about it and meet other SHO owners and and get to know everyone. I am also a beginner automotive technician and need to learn everything there is about the Gen 1 and Gen 2 motors! Most mechanics won't even touch these cars and the ones that will charge a lot! So nice to meet everyone here and I hope that all will go well!

I had a 62 Galaxy XL 500 hardtop, black with a red interior. It came with a 406 tri-power and a 4 speed manual tranny. The bucket seats had a silver piping I think and the whole interior was nothing short of fabulous. I wish I had it now, even though it was a massive car with a huge appetite. I decoded the vin plate on the door at the time and remember coming up with some kind of code that suggested it was Ford ordered (maybe by an employee). The strange thing I remember about it was, the back window glass blew out of it on a hot day.
What a car.
