So I picked up a 2018 non-PP SHO the other day and I'm doing some basic maintenance stuff (Fluid swaps for the PTU/RDU/trans etc). I have been looking at replacing the intake with the EPP one but there were a few things I was unsure about.

1. Should I get the recirc/catch can bungs preinstalled? I'm not doing all of my upgrades at once, but I do like the VTA sound. I can't tell if the kit comes with blockoffs (since I don't currently have a catch can to hook up) but I'd like the flexibility to be able to install a can later, maybe when I decide to upgrade the hot pipes. Same deal if I decide to get hot pipes with a blowoff valve installed, will I need to block off the recirc port for that?

2. Does the EPP CAI come with some weatherstripping or sealing ******? I did not see one in the product photos on the site or the pre-production photos here.

No weather stripping included unfortunately.

I would advise getting all the connections. My car is VTA (because it came like that and I'm too cheap to buy the hoses) but I ordered my intake for stock recirc. I just capped them on the intake, couple bucks in chair caps and clamps. It makes it a lot easier down the road to upgrade, rather than having to drill/weld into your pipes and make the connection yourself.

Being that you are an 18, I agree with Ken to go ahead and get all options so that you aren't held back if plans change down the road. If you get a UPR catch can you'll need the extra bung, and the recirc ports will be needed if you ever decide to go back to recirc BOVs.

Lee, what is different on the ‘15+ Cars that you need the catch can bung and don’t for ‘14 and under?

the design of the factory pcv system. The 15+ has a sensor integrated into the front pcv line to measure flow and crankcase pressure and trips a CEL if you exceed the tolerancing which is pretty tight. UPR got around this by leaving the stock PCV line in tact and tapping into a second connection to run a clean air feed directly to the intake. On stockish intakes, this is accomplished by using a new coupler between the airbox and y-tube that has a pcv connector embedded into it.

If you run this system, or plan to, and get the EPP intake you can't just add a coupler, so you have to have a bung added in place. Easier to do it during manufacturing than drilling/tapping down the road.
