yea, it dont take long huh :sosad:
so i get in my car to leave work, put it into drive... bam!! hard shift, ok, then start to ease on, thinkin what the heck is going on, since it has been so absolutely perfect since my rebuild, even eric complimented when he drove her saying what a great job i got, so anyway, i start to go on and try and make my way out of the parking lot, manuvering around several speed bumps...ect. rpm's only up to 1 1/2 and she starts with these quick loose little sloppy feelin shifts, without even accelerating, then by the time i stop to get out on the road i feel all my down shifts, not really kickin hard, but noticable to say the least, none of which were there since getting her back, im still under my warrenty thank goodness. But very unhappy to say the least. I am just wondering what the heck went wrong, i know its atx and all, but still, just saying...i really thought i had done so good...?

I'm just happy you were still under warranty - that is THE most important part. With the trans, speculating what went wrong is difficult. It could be the torque converter, a burned clutch band, any number of things. BUT it's under warranty, so the good part is you don't need to stress about what went wrong - just let them fix it and relax. I'd see if they would re-issue the warranty effective starting the date that the new fix will be completed though. I hope everything works out for you - oh and demand a rental!!!! Nothing other than a 2011 SHO will do until it's fixed right?

It's not the trans it's the builder lol It should hit alittle bit hard, just not real hard, he most likely left the old gear packs in there

Gear packs? You mean clutch packs? lol I'm an atx noob but not sure what ur talkin about Bubba.. lol

THat thing shifted like butter, it felt as good if not better than your did you you had it fixed. It had no problems changing gear, and acting like it should. It was nice and quick, without any kind of obvious problem.

Like I was sayin eariler.. I would guess he didn't clean out or flush that torque converter, and or some other thing I am not aware of.... I suppose he could have missed a snap ring somewhere too... lol who knows?

I know some of you ATX guys have some sort of clue.... anyone?

far as i know, all the internals were supposed to be replaced, i paid for a complete rebuild, on my transmission, although i was not there to witness exactly what he did, like maybe i should of been. I should of been sittin there with it, like i usually do for hired maintence, but i just didnt have the 3 days to do so. at any rate, it is what it is now, and im paying the price for my negligance.. pretty sure im on the brink of losing what little sanity i had left.

Yeah I mean't clutch packs, I know some people reuse them to save some money, as I did the samething... There's nothing wrong with it as long as there was no damage. However if there was some stuff floating around it could have gotten stuck.

Why would the guy reuse it if she gave him a new kit? All those clutch packs come in a rebuild kit.. I just seen one for an AXOD that was over at Dougs place.

I would doubt it was a clutch pack failure because something got reused... I just know that when Doug rebuilds a trans, he always sends the TC out to get flushed, or a new one. All that junk from the old one would still be in the TC.
