Well went to the track again today along with Mike (First-SHO) and the results were as follows: I'll post up the slip later hopefully

60ft...........1.8639
330ft..........5.2890
1/8 ET........8.186
1/8 MPH......85.20
1000' ET......10.6941
1000' MPH....98.25
1/4 ET.........12.788
1/4 MPH.......110.12

Tried to leave a little harder and actually slowed to a 12.80 at 109 but 60ft dropped to 1.83

Didnt quite get the ET record but I solidly have the MPH record!

This is with my daily driven tune. I have one tune with a little more boost but didn't get a chance to run it! I'm gonna try to get back there this afternoon!

It was cold yesterday and the track was kinda slick. Just to confirm to everyone this is my daily driven tune. Actually have one more, little more aggressive tune is like to try out this year. If it doesn't happen I'm happy with the progress made so far! Looking forward to spring!!

So what a minute Darell...........

Am I understanding from your posts correctly that you achieved that 12.7 time w/ your Stage 3 Livernois tune?

Not the "test" tune that you have trying out recently?

Could you clarify for the community please?

Sure...I'll clarify. It is one I've been testing but I've been driving it daily for about 2 months now. It's the Stage 3 with a little added boost. The one I've been calling "Stage 4". It's not the most aggressive tune I have...not the one I was going to use a race gas mix with. I haven't been able to really test that one at the track yet

If I (God willing) make it back out this year, I hope to still test that because I know I'll go quicker than the 12.75 with that tune.

Still think I can run quicker with the current tune or at least the MPH makes me think I can!

Reaction time doesn't count against your time! Smart@$s! :thankyou:

Was definately a little slow on the tree but I was more concerned about how I was launching...it's ok, I can take the bashing!

Good thing is I could sleep all day and still beat you to the finish!

Gonna order one tonight actually. Don't think it will hurt anything, that's for sure! I've always thought these cars run hot and get hot quick. Running the Royal Purple Purple Ice right now, thought I'd give it shot. Not sure it does anything because my lack of ability to datalog but....

The comment about "seat time" is interesting. When I got my Gen 3 into the 14s for the first time, I caught all of this flack about Lapeer being a "downhill track" and such. The thing is Lapeer isn't the nicest facility around, but they repaved in '99, and it's easy to get 25+ runs on a Saturday Test-N-Tune.

Ryan Dudek had a '98 Gen 3. We traded cars. He got 2 tenths less ET than I got in my '99, and I drove his car to 2 tenths better than he got in it. FWIW, we eventually got his stock '98 into the 14s.

Even with an ATX with the simple launch technique, seat time at the strip will stilll improve your times.
