Wow, someone must really hate me. This morning on the way to school the power steering was making a strange noise anytime I turned it more than almost a quarter in each direction.

It wasn't a goan, whine, grind, or squeak... it was like...a scrape...

What's wrong with this?????

Add this to my bad subframe/engine mount and I'm getting hit bad so far this week.

Did you look under the hood to see if anything unusual was happening to the pump while it was eminating this symptom? The pump is not cheap btw.

What do you mean unusual? I didn't see anything, I was checking sound... if the sound isn't coming FROM the pump it's coming from something near it or under it.

With a little help I found what I think is the culprit.... I checked it out again and got down by the right wheel...well, I looked up and saw where the sound is coming from. The strut... The whole thing turns with the wheel but makes this horrible scraping sound when it's doing it.

Does it need to be lubricated or is a bushing missing or is the strut dead or what??
