Which are better...new aftermarket CV joints or rebuilt original factory ones? Anyone have any bad luck with rebuilt ones?

It really depends on the quality of the rebuild - many of them are hand hogged out to put larger bearings in them, which does not lend itself to high quality and/or long life.

The only reason I ask is they all have a life time warranty. I've never seen anyone have any problems with a rebuilt one, but I've also run into folks that swear new ones are better.

Evan the A1 Cardone remans can last longer than new ones. Sometimes. I have installed "several" warranty replacements for the cost of only 45 minutes of my effort. Still rolling after 411,000 miles.
