650 is pretty easy these days. The transmission is the problem. Was wondering is 650hp manageable?? Im rebuilding my short block w/ manley H beam rod and extreme pistons. New oil pump, water pump, head studs and chains and guides. Not sure on any head work ATM. Any tips would be great.
I just bought a SHO and was told Slate was the shop to go to! -Fishers , InMax power is highly respected, not cheap but they know what there doing, I went with CSS and a new block for them to close deck and install my supplied pistons, rods, and bearings, they will do the balance and warranty the block to 750whp. Then goes to my local race shop Slate Performance in Indianapolis for the swap, with new heads, valves, springs, if done yourself you'll save a lot, my route is about $13,000 to complete build, but worth it to save my crippled hands.
Even though Slate has done only a few Ecoboost, as far as I know they haven't done a SHO until I enquired. Visited there shop there on the Southside of Indy last fall to start the process of the build, was impressed with there professionalism and facility. And there more than willing to accommodate customer wishes, they will allow you to have block come from outside source , CSS is mine, they will also dissemble transmission to be sent out for WSP and cryo treatment. Small shop in comparison to Fathouse 20 miles away, recommend you go see Slate in person.I just bought a SHO and was told Slate was the shop to go to! -Fishers , In
