Welcome to the forum tewkes. I'm from MI as well and live in Canton. Just got rid of my 2011 white SHO and replaced it with a 2013 Black. I know the black is going to drive me crazy after the last 3 weeks of weather. I haven't sen my car clean longer than 24 hrs since I took delivery. Lol. I also work in the car business at a Ford dealership. Best of luck with your new ride. You'll love it.

I work in Novi, but live in Sterling Heights. Hardly see any sho's around, modified ones especially.

Bob, you're right about the parts, I guess you can build your own parts. I used to when I had a focus in 2000 before the aftermarket took off. Now that I'm older with a kid I dont have a lot of extra time to screw around in the garage so I like ordering parts that are easy bolt on, lol.

I'm debating the exhaust. I really want the car to sound more aggressive but I drive on the freeway most of the time and don't want the drone.

Hey Tewkes, I am also a new SHO owner and live in Shelby Twp. I just purchased a 2010 Silver SHO. I would love to see the car once you get your mods done. I want to do some also, just not sure yet. Let me know we could meet up or something. Maybe get a discount on tint if we bring two cars. I need to get mine done also. I have always heard good things about darkside, just have never went there.

I've been wanting to black vinyl my roof since I purchased my 2013 SHO. I'm looking at approx. $400 for the job here in Houston.

I have Eibachs, Livernois and have replaced my front separates, added rear 6x9 speakers and a sub. Loving the car!!!

My Magnaflow axlebacks sound like a V-6 stock Mustang. Only reason I went with these was no complete system was available for Flex at that time. Flex has longer wheelbase (4") than SHO, but is shorter overall by a few inches, so exhaust system is identical till just before rear axle, where it adjusts for the longer wheelbase and shorter rear overhang.

Adding an x-pipe and deleting the 3rd cat and mid muffler increases sound. I currently have stock section in for long trip traveling. X-pipe add and 3rd cat delete definitely increases performance (according to my logging - per Torrie).

Would definetly like to meet up sometime. I got a few quotes on tint and roof vinyl. One place I found around 19 and mound said they would do the tint for around $200, and the roof for another $220 ($20 more for a sunroof). I'm debating if I want to do that next or get an exhaust or grille. I really want to do the exterior stuff first since the performance of the car is fine with me right now.

I'm starting to think of just going with the dynomax axleback kit. It's only $300(on sale) and I can put it on myself. If I don't like it I can just take it off and dollar up for the corsa.

Should be getting my intake tommorow. Can't wait to put it on.

I'm leaning more towards the Eibachs for everday life. I've had low cars before and although it looks awesome, going up driveways, going over speed bumps, and plowing through snow is never fun.

This was my first snow plow. This thing was low, had H&R coilovers. Had to go on an angle for every driveway. Became a part time job trying to avoid things. Plus it rode like a hardtail chopper.
