QUACK!!! QUACK!!!! QUACK!!!! :woo-hoo: :dribble:

Got my Hot Pipes (finally) installed. Ordered and paid for in early Nov. Hot Pipes came in 3 shipments with no bill of lading or info on what I was supposed to receive. Last shipment somehow ended up being sent to our Iowa address. UPS was going to send it back ( got card from them forwarded to me here) but fortunately we were able to divert the shipment for me to receive it. Note: UPS will not let the customer re-route a shipment. Has to be done by the shipper. I tried and failed.....

Ended up having to buy several items to complete the install, including an extra silicone coupler and 2 Heavy Duty hose clamps, as these items were mistakenly sent and didn't fit. Also had to buy some 1" plugs to close off the BOV vents in the intake piping. The extra cost was minimal, but the hassle was a bummer.:nut:

The bottom hot pipe from front turbo to intercooler needs to be installed from the bottom. I did it while I was changing my oil... Worked like a charm.

The GOOD NEWS... modified the BOV exits into Duck Dynasty Duck Calls..

QUACK... QUACK.... QUACK...!!!! Now for the beard and crawfish!!!:woo-hoo::woo-hoo:

Sure sucks you had to go through all the hassle that you did in order to complete your order.

Why did you end buying parts yourself?

Good to know though that it (ultimately) all ended up well.

Bob and I talked via email, I tried to figure out what was missing and asked for a picture but Bob thought I was giving him a hard time for some reason. I didn't understand what was missing so I kept asking questions which upset him in the end. I also offered to mail him an entire new set of silicone pipes and clamps but he said he would take care of it.
I'm sorry Bob didn't realize that the factory BoV mounts were VTA, it was explained in the announcement for the product.

There was some miscommunication between myself and PPE concerning the parts, shipping etc. They shipped out his pipes and were supposed to ship out his silicone bits but they thought I was doing that, they were also short some parts so I ordered the parts they didn't have from my supplier and shipped them directly to Bob, I think they sent him a 2.25" instead of a 2" silicone pipe and 2.25" clamps as well. I went down to PPE rounded up all the silicone parts that was still outstanding and had PPE ship them out to Bob but unfortunately they shipped to the last address they had for him in the computer which was IA.
I've apologized to Bob repeatedly and offering to send a completely separate set of silicone piping and clamps I would have made up for his difficulties but alas it has not, not much more I can do now to appease him.
Again, sorry Bob I didn't mean for you to have any issues. I also found that others received 2.25" pipes and clamps when I didn't order on any of my invoices from my supplier.
I'd love to see some pictures of what it looks like on your car Bob.
I also sent out your meth bung today priority mail as we discussed.

Apologies to anybody else that may have had difficulties, right now I'm in wrestling season so full time day job, part time car parts business and 3 hour practices in the evening and then weekend tournaments it's a bear! I'd hire my wife to take over the parts stuff but she's way too expensive for me to afford! :p

I want to clarify that PPE sent my Catted Down Pipes to me in Clear Lake, IA, early last summer. I purchased them directly from PPE.

PPE also sent my Hot Pipes to me in early December, to my Naples, FL address, about a month after they were ordered. I purchased the Hot Pipes from Mike and paid for them with PayPal, which noted the correct shipping address here in Naples. PPE neglected to send any hardware (silicone connectors and clamps). A week earlier, I had received a surprise shipment from SIS (Silicone Intake Systems-Colorado Springs) with a couple silicone connectors and clamps. After e-mailing Mike, he indicated that this was the items that he was short, and that the remaining items were coming with the hot pipes. I did not know that the Hot Pipes were coming directly from PPE until I received a UPS tracking notice.

When I didn't get any hardware with the hot pipes themselves, I again e-mailed Mike. That's when he got PPE to send the remainder of the shipment out, which they mistakenly sent to Iowa. Fortunately they sent me a UPS tracking # where I immediately realized that it was being sent to the wrong place. After more e-mails with Mike, I was asked by Mike (4DR) to re-route the shipment from Clear Lake to Naples or wherever I was going to be. Unfortunately, UPS wouldn't let me do that and said the shipper (PPE) had to make the request to re-route the shipment. Since we were going to Cedar Falls, IA but not to Clear Lake (everything is shut off and drained for winter), I had to ask for the shipment to be sent to my son's home. I planned on installing in his garage but when I checked fitment of all silicone connectors (thankfully before I had the Flex torn apart), it became obvious one was mis-sized. After numerous e-mails, I finally got a tape from my son and determined the mis-sized connector and clamps was 2.25" diameter. None of the connectors or clamps have any sizing in inches on them anywhere, nor did I have a listing of what I should have received, until Mike finally made one up for me in one of his last e-mails on this issue. I explained that the mis-sized connector and clamps were 2.25", but he still wanted a picture. He also couldn't tell me why I had 2 **** hoses and where the 2" one actually went. That's when I said "forget it... I'll just order one myself". So, I ordered several items from SIS, to make sure I had the right hoses and also extra clamps for my CAI to make everything look similar. All of those items came as ordered and with a packing slip, but again, none of the parts from SIS are labeled, either in metric or in inches.

As for the W/M #12 spray nozzle and holder, I gave those to Mike when we met in October in Phoenix. He said he would return it to me with the hot pipe shipment. I assumed incorrectly that he would drill and tap both the nitrous hole, and a new hole where everyone's W/M nozzle is suggested to be placed. When The hot pipes didn't have that done, I bought the tap and odd size drill bit ( 11/32) on Amazon. When it didn't come with the hot pipe shipment, I reminded him to have it sent with the connectors. I notified him again to ship it separately when it didn't come in the shipment with the connectors (3rd hot pipe shipment). I notified him two days ago that I still hadn't received it back. I guess it is now in the mail.

I suppose I just should have called Mike( perhaps several times), but I thought my e-mails were clear, but I guess not. It has always been my experience that written correspondence works better than calls. Nuff Said...
