A couple years ago a guy was selling his low rider truck that he never finished. I bought a set of shocker hornblaster horns from him and planned on installing them on an escape I had at the time. I never got around to it and stored them in my basement. A couple months ago I came across them and started test fitting them on the car. They wouldn't fit inside the front bumper, so the only spot left was the rear bumper, and they fit perfect. I bought a 2 gallon air tank and had a friend build me a box and install the electrical. My goal for the install was to not have anything drilled in the car, and a system I could remove in 30 minutes if needed.

All four horns installed in the rear bumper and secured with 24" zip ties.

My friend built the box. Originally I was going to mount a dummy subwoofer to the box, but decided against it. The issue I had was running the 1/2" air line. There are a couple drain ports in the trunk, but none in the back. I ran the air line to one of those. I will end up drilling a hole in the back so the air line is no longer visible. It's not in the way right now, but it's an eye sore.

Inside of the box. The compressor gets hot, but not too hot. Everything is run off of a relay, and is wired to a momentary push button switch up front. I also have a toggle switch to turn the entire thing off and on.

After having these for a few weeks I love them. I prevented an accident a couple days ago when someone was about to merge on another car on the freeway. I blaster the horns and the driver got back over. I also saved my butt from some idiot about to side swipe me. I drive over 100 miles a day so these come in handy a lot. Maybe a little overkill but that's okay :)

I especially enjoyed the 'shocker' sticker on the air tank. If you get a chance, and care to, send up a youtube vid on this and send us all the link. We'd love to hear the horns. Nice mod!!

Nice. I've been looking into doing some train horns on my locomotive...err F-350. Is that just a two horn setup or is there a third hidden there somewhere? How loud is the compressor from the driver's seat?

Having a truck, I'm debating on where to mount the compressor. I could do it under the truck somewhere but then it will be exposed to the elements all of the time, so I was thinking in the bed would be best. I have a tool box at the front of my bed that I was thinking I could fit it in too.

If you look at the top picture, there are four horns. Two point to the right, and two point to the left. You can do a compressor under the truck, but it needs to be rated for outside use, and you need to change the filter all the time. It's better to mount it in the bed. Compressor is really quiet, but it takes some time to fill. Unfortunately that's a trade off if you dont want it too loud.

I was I would have had these driving from Michigan to Orlando. Would have loved to use them on some left lane huggers.
