Hey guys,
I'm new to the Ford scene. Bought a 2010 SHO that was hit by a semi. Had $19,000 in damage. Brought her back from the grave! Currently she is lowered on H&R coils, K&N filter in factory air box, SCT tune from unleashed for 93 octane. Just got my 3 bar map sensor today and will retune tonight. Put OEM Edge Sport 22's on, smoothed all the textured moldings around the bottom and color matched, 2013 color matched side badges, and just a few other mild touches!

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you here :) Must've been quite a task putting the SHO back in service. Second Dave's suggestion above!

We want to hear the story.
How did you get the title restored?
What was the damage to the original car?
Things like that.

Well, I own a collision repair shop in SW Missouri, had a customer tow the SHO in after she got hit by the semi and pushed off the road down into a ravine. Car had $19,000 in damage but didn't total out. Still a clean title! She was worried that the car would never be the same, I wanted the car so I offered to let her keep the insurance check and gave her money to boot. There was no real frame damage to speak of, but spinning off the road and down thru trees, there were dents and scrapes on pretty much every panel. So it needed a complete paintjob. Hopefully these pictures show up! This is my first time on a forum too!http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/KirkKustoms/media/taurus.jpg.html

Ok, So I called ford to order the map sensor off the f-150. Was told it was a 3 bar. They sent me the same part number as my OEM sensor. Does anyone have the Ford part number for the 3 bar I need?

Motorcraft CX-2231 (or AA5Z-9F479-AB actual part number, though it may say AA5Z-9F479-B on the box)

There are 2 MAP sensors on the car . You want to replace the 2-bar MAP directly on top of the intake manifold when doing a performance tune. (The one pre-throttle body is 3 bar OEM.)

Great story on the car.
That is a true win - win. The original owner gets what they want, and the recipient (you) gets what you want.
Nice result; and a good opportunity to try different things that you might be reluctant to do if you purchase the conventional way.

Very nice! And I'm sure you had a lot less than $19K into getting her going again! I've been looking at wrecks to fix quite a bit too, so I could take a good guess at what you have into it. Looks great!
