After a month on jacks getting a new radiator my 94 atx has a hard new thump coming from what seems like the rear bottom of the engine bay. It happens when I accelerate and when I brake, it feels like a hammer blow on the floorboard in front of the pedals. It doesn't happen with the suspension going over bumps etc. but as the car shifts weight starting or braking. If I'm on the freeway at speed I can't seem to make it happen but around town its every start and stop. The sound is much louder if I accelerate or stop quickly. Struts, springs bearings etc all new in May, any thoughts welcomed it seems like a serious problem. Thanks!

In addition to checking your SFBs, check the forward strut rod bushing mounts on the front part of the subframe. The metal cup cracks and comes loose allowing the whole spindle to movce fore/aft.
