Hi...im new to the forum although I been looking around for a few months. I have owned for a year now a 2013 Taurus Sho non PP. It already has a LMS V10 tune, Catted Downpipes, and Mdesign CAI sitting on TSW Bathhurst. Thought id take a moment to introduce myself.

Looks great with those wheels! Yeah, you can either upload a file or link to offsite pic host facilities using the image icon (next to the smiley icon).

Don't mind the old guy in the background lol that's dad. I have always been a Ford guy and always will be. I have owned MANY Mustangs as I use to drag race one and have owned both generation Lightnings. I plan on keeping this one for awhile.

I love the Taurus just got to work some bugs out of it. I wanted a kinda all round car and liked what the Taurus had to offer. When I bought the car I thought I had the performance pack...didn't do the research on it as it came with the flower wheels. I actually learned from here that it wasn't but I am o k with that just got to get the times down.

Fortunately getting the times down isn't all that difficult. The hard part is expecting to get it into the 11's without much investment. Aim for 12's, and you are golden LOL.

O k I have a question for you guys. I took my Taurus to the track for the first time and kinda got disappointed. The weather was sitting right around 81 degrees and ran a best of as followed:

60'.....1.91
330'.....5.508
1/8.......8.521
mph.....81.59
1000.....11.104
1/4......13.276
mph.....103.85
I footbraked it to around 2000 rpms. This time seems a bit off for the mods I have. I figured id run at least a 12.9...what do you guys think gives?

Your 60 foot time needs some work, but what was the DA? Also, with a nonPP you can't turn the grannies off completely, sadly.

Don't have a waterbox there do you? You should drive around it, not through it.

Im not sure what the DA was that night. I live in Va so it was at Virginia Motorsports Park. I did go around the waterbox. The car didn't feel like it spun at all. Im trying to get it in the 12's then ill be happy..forgot to mention I did turn off traction control and left it in Drive

O k whats relearn? the car has been tuned now for about 10 months..first with the v8 tune then I added catted downpipes the end of April and Livernois updated my tune to a v10. I took it to the track May 28. I noticed on the way home a service trac-control soon message came up but it went away after I drove the car the next day...I don't drive the car aggressively often but do occasionally

Every time you load a tune to the computer (PCM), it takes some time for it to learn your driving style (adaptive). Once it's settled in, it keeps refining more and more, so you have to drive aggressively enough that the PCM is prepared for it when you call for it to be aggressive. If you only drive like that 5% of the time, you may consider upping it to 15-20% if you can do so safely.

Automatic Transmission Adaptive Learning
This feature is designed to increase durability and provide consistent
shift feel over the life of the vehicle. A new vehicle or transmission may
have firm shifts, soft shifts or both. This operation is considered normal
and will not affect function or durability of the transmission. Over time,
the adaptive learning process will fully update transmission operation.
Additionally, whenever the battery is disconnected or a new battery
installed, the strategy must be relearned.

When the battery is disconnected or a new battery is installed, the
automatic transmission must relearn its shift strategy. As a result,
the transmission may exhibit a combination of firm and soft shifts.
This operation is considered normal and will not affect function or
durability of the transmission. Over time, the adaptive learning process
will fully update transmission operation. To begin this process:
1. With the vehicle at a complete stop, set the parking brake.
2. Put the gearshift lever in P (Park), turn off all accessories and start
the engine.
3. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.
4. Allow the engine to idle for at least one minute.
5. Turn the A/C on and allow the engine to idle for at least one minute.
6. Drive the vehicle to complete the relearning process.
• The vehicle may need to be driven to relearn the idle and fuel trim
strategy.
• Note: If you do not allow the engine to relearn its idle trim, the idle
quality of your vehicle may be adversely affected until the idle trim is
eventually relearned.

Your DA likely would have been around 2000, not too bad, but not as great as could be had. Humidity, ugh.

I always harp on one thing regularly :) so I won't stop this time! Is maintenance up to date? Trans/PTU/RDU fluids at the very least, coolant & brake also preferable.

The Service Advancetrac may or may not mean anything. Usually a wheel speed sensor that's out of sync temporarily.
