I've been having a pesky coolant leak that has been getting worse and worse. At first I thought it was my over flow resevior since it leaked before, but I fixed that. I got under the car this morning, and noticed that the coolant is dripping from my belts. More specifically from above my crank area. I thought it must be my water pump leaking, but the water pump looks dry, and sounds good when the car is running. It's hard to see anything with that plastic cover on the front of the engine. I wonder if it's possible that it's comming from my thermostat housing?? Any ideas. I'll tear into it this weekend.:nut:

Could be weeping from the waterpump. How much coolant are we talking about?

It's a pretty constant drip...............drip..............drip. It probably looses a quart a day I'd say.

That sounds like your waterpump. Check to see if the CPS is getting wet. If so it will ruin it.

The thermostat BTW is on the drivers side.

Oh yeah, thermostat is on the drivers side! Well, where does the bottom radiator hose go? It just goes up behind the plastic cover near the water pump? I thought it may be leaking somewhere in there??

My guess is the O ring that goes between the coolant crossover tube and the back of the water pump.

That sounds like a really good possiblity bc the water pump doesn't look/sound bad in any way, I'm just losing fluid. Where can I get one of these o rings? Thanks, I'll check that out!
