Spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday putting in a new clutch on my 91. The car has 170k on it. The old clutch was worn but fine, however the throwout bearing was in many pieces. Ball bearings fell out when we pulled the tranny off. Whoever has done this job in 8 hours has my total admiration.

I also did the rear main and the rod bearings. All of my top bearings were showing copper, so I am glad I did it. The carrier seal came off in pieces.

I have an ugly exhaust leak because I could not get one of the nuts on the rear downpipe of the y pipe to thread on. Thinking about taking car to Midas tonight.

Hopefully no more oil leaks.

This job is long, involved , but not that tricky. I think the valve stem seals were worse in terms of complexity.
