To go with a new name I have a few ideas I'm working on for a club logo, but let's DISCUSS.

Personally, I think it's vital that we keep the three states of MI, IN and OH in the logo. Aside from that, let's see/hear what you have in mind!

I got it!! Mio. ;)

Oh, this is supposed to be about a Logo. Considering the age and condition of some of the remaining SHOs, how about "sit down, shut up, start wrenching" ?

Mio is a tiny town up near Houghton Lake. My high school basketball team used to kick their butt

You sound like me trying to figure out a club name. I **** you not I actually considered some of the things you just spelled out :bonk:

Did you ever make them eat the feathers from one of those little warblers? Like what's in the display case along th main road? I forget the actual birds name, but it's only found in that area.

You mean the Kirtland Warbler? KCC is where I did a lot of my undergrad studies before going to WMU :thumb: The little college in the woods

I have no direct knowledge of any wrong doings by Roscommon High School students against the fine students and citizens of Mio :naughty:

Aaaaaaanyway. Logos. We need one.

I have a few more ideas rolling around in my head, I just need to put them down in pixel form.

Here's a derivative from the old logo. I spent a lot of time doing the old one up, I think it'd be kind of cool to keep at least part of it around.

The font can be changed to whatever, I literally have thousands upon thousands at my disposal. I thought this one looked rather snazzy.

It would be cool to pick out the font of either the 1st gen or 2nd sho letters.

Yeah, a font more like the original tri-state font may look better, or if we can do something that's even close to the 2nd gen SHO lettering (at least for the SHO part) I think that would really help set the logo off.

Otherwise, maybe make the lettering a little bigger and the states a little smaller... is that possible?

Otherwise, that's pretty much what I had in mind, looks great :thumb:

States more in background a little smaller, and the text superimposed on top-
Great Lakes on 1st line, SHO (in SHO font) on second line in larger text, and Society on the third line...

Wish I could do that!

If we're going to use stickers, maybe it's not a good idea to use all those colors- I don't think I'd want thaose all on my car. Maybe it would only matter when the stickers are made to monotone them?

Maybe I'm just a ***** though. (Purely debatable too...)

Stickers & apparel would definitely not be colored, but either a solid color or an outline as described above.

Incidently, anyone had a look at http://www.glsho.org yet?

Unless anyone has any other radical ideas for a logo I think we're going to stick with the tri-state style logo with some of the modifications above :thumb:

Hey, new domain, same site (besides all the wordage :). I do like the basic logo that Beth has up there, but like the others say, make the letters bigger and maybe superimpose them over the outlines of the states. It would also be nice to have them monochrome, and maybe even different color offerings for different colored cars :thumb:

Why does Michigan seem to be only half there?
