I have been hearing about a slightly bigger and better flowing drop in CAC but have not seen any actual info on this. Does anybody have any info about this?

There is info on the Taurus sho owners group on facebook, I think it was a 50 HP improvement. Gearhead is the one that developed it, but the first run there were only a limited amount made so I would suggest you hold off on purchasing one until I save up enough money to get mine first.

Awesome 50 hp from a CAC is hmmmm really alot. I found a direct drop in kind of deal, but it basically stock replacement slightly better flow & metal, no real improvement though only 168 bucks. A 50 hp improvement must be significantly bigger with lots of fab work to get to fit and unit i am sure very costly.....but yea some one is trying...

No fab work should be required although I don't remember seeing anyone compete the install yet. It's a little involved due to placement of the factory FMIC. Up to 50hp, it's more dependent on keeping intake air temps down which depending on where you live, time of year etc. Should be a nice help especially in summer though.

Those results are when it was 90 degrees and worked well, would it work better, equal or less in colder air?
If I start saving now maybe in 3 years the price might drop.....just a hope and a thought....not too much chance of a used one for a long time....just saying

Mine was delivered last week.....

Although just like all the other upgraded, aftermarket performance parts I've been amassing over the last 6mo.'s, I really, really, REALLY need to find some time this Spring to get it all in, and then schedule me some dyno time at LMS yet again.

Even more fun times lie ahead!

Woot! Woot!

Thanks to Matt and all his crew over at Gearhead Tuning for investing the almost last 3yrs of their valuable time to making this become a reality for the entire platform!

Oh, and I should add, a full 2" inches thick, which is a vast improvement versus factory.

Boxed ****, now your just being mean...

Ha!

Well it was/is packaged so incredibly well, that until I am ready for actual install, I was/am hesitant to remove it from it's packaging in its' entirety until I am ready to slap it onto the car itself.

But hey, **** is ****. So I'm ok with it. LOL.

How often I have been tempted to buy these parts just to showcase at home. And I don't even have a SHO to put them in! Life is so CRUEL!

Can’t wait to see an install video on these. Hoping to get in on the next run of them. This is really exciting. I spend most of the summer in south Texas, so I think I will learn the meaning of heat soak soon enough with my stock intercooler. Lol
