Dealer is looking into it. They also verified it has the power package. Both the buttons are blank and there are no options in the menu either. So I cant even sort of disable it.

The scene: Ford Assembly Plant
Date/Time: The Wednesday before the long Thanksgiving weekend, 3:59 PM

Billybob is putting the final pieces in the dash of the final 2014 SHO of the day but realizes he is one ESC button short to finish up for the day. Does he stop the line and get it right but risk overtime to track down the button, or........Screw it! Nobody will ever notice, especially screaming01!

Forgive a lowly old SEL entry in this matter but could the ESC button be in the drivers set up menu on the left of the instrument cluster? I dont have ESC but my standard traction control on/off button is there.

BTW I love the back and forth with Billy Bob and the assembly line end of shift scenario....that is rich!!

Another thing to consider is this. Hopefully they just forgot to put the button on and hopefully did not forget the wiring, and programming. Be a shame to have to tear the vehicle apart to install the wiring harness. I would consider a FULL PURCHASE PRICE PLUS Trade in at that point.

If anything, I'm sure they just forgot the button and just have to pop out the blank panel and plug the new switch in. Don't need to stress him out anymore! :nut:

Not stressed at all. Biggest stress is wanting for the warranty to be up so I can start modding.

Screaming and everyone.

I think we can all realize how much pre verbial mileage Daily SHO will get out of this scenario if his scenario of the button missing turns out to be true. Maybe the Thanksgiving weekend/Smoke break is a stretch but I think we have all made up this scenario in our heads whether it be a Ford Taurus, Toaster, TV etc...... You can put this type of scenario with any type of mass produced item.

I ordered a Craftsman lawn tractor from Sears about ten years ago and wanted it delivered. The tractor came and was unloaded but no steering wheel was included. Turns out the steering wheel was loaded onto another truck slated for a different delivery date. But at least I was able to turn off the ESC and cut the grass really fast.

Can anyone post a pic of the switch panel from a 2014 with PP?

Picture of the button arrangement on my '14 w/Performance Package.

Hope this helps. :)
