Just picked up a 2014 SHO with power package and 6500 miles on it. For the life of me, I cant figure out how to shut off the ESC on this thing. The two buttons under the AC inside the little panel are blank. The only thing in the menu is drivers assist which is pretty much the cross traffic and blind sopt stuff.

Welcome! Per the manual:

Press the ESC OFF switch and hold it for more than five seconds when the brakes are
applied and the vehicle is at a stop.

Do you get a system message about ESC in the dash when you start up the SHO? Do these buttons light up at that time? If tried during daytime, try when it is dark. Maybe the dimmer is turned down too low.

No buttons. The lights on the dash go on but where the buttons are supposed to he there are just 2 black blank plates. Tried pressing and holding and they dont do anything.

If you have the drivers assist package, you don't have the Performance Package. That's why you have the blank button next to the power rear shade button. The left blank button is for auto parallel parking.

Ill post the window sticker with vin. Shows performance package right on it. The assist is just the blind spot system. Those are the only options listed in the menu

Man, what a mixup that would be! But I think PM is right. Unless things changed for 2014, which is quite possible.

Welcome to the forum man!

I hope there wasn't a mixup either, but the Driver's Assist pkg contains the Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Active Park Assist. You can not get the Driver's Assist Pkg and the Performance Package together, but you can get BLIS with cross traffic alert and the PP together on the 401A pkg (vs the base SHO's 400A pkg). So hopefully that's what you have!

Definitely shows the PP.

I would verify the VIN you posted matches the VIN stamped on the car.

If it does, the online window sticker must be wrong. From how you describe your car, you don't have the PP. Need to get on the phone with Ford to get this straightened out.

Do you have the 20" Michelin tires? PP SHOs came with Goodyear F1 SuperCars. Do you have a spare tire in the trunk? PP cars don't have a spare, just a flat fix it kit. And lastly, do you have the alcantara steering wheel that only PP gets?

Did they get rid of Active Park Assist from the 402A group for 2014? Is that a standalone option now?

Ill get the sticker from the door. But it does have 20 inch goodyears. The wrapped steering wheel. And from test driving a non pp, seat of the pants is quicker/ touchier pedal and feels stiffer on the road. Less soft than the other sho we test drove

Dealer will probably have to install that header panel. Hopefully it is not an intensive effort.

Can someone with a 2013 or 14 SHO PP post a pic of where their ESC off button is just to make sure he's looking in the right place?

Is this blank out next to the park assist supposed to be where the ESC off button is?

EDIT:

I have confirmed, yes the ESC Off button should be there like this:

ESCoff zps0133b151

So it sounds like you have a misbuilt car where they forgot to put in the ESC off button. You'll have to go to the dealer and they will order the button and replace it under warranty.
