Good Morning Everyone. I was going through my things the other day and found the lost spare transponder key for my 2010 Ford Taurus SHO that I no longer own. It is new, never used, and in the plastic bag. It still has the factory decal with all the numbers and barcode on the back of it. While the mechanical bypass key may or may not work in your vehicle, having a spare transponder can be a big lifesaver and convenient, especially if you currently only have one, there are multiple drivers in your family, or even as a valet key.
