lol...

makes little sense to me, as the ATX won't go past 4k to protect the torque converter.

I dunno what the rating on the torque converter is, but I can get cleanly to about 3-3500rpm and launch....

Not that that is any better, but....

Tell him when he blows his tranny I'll sell him a rebuilt one for $5000.00! If he's stupid enough to intentionally break his tranny, just maybe he'll be stupid enough to pay me! :D

I'll give a used atx sho tranny 10 nuetral drops before it starts slipping. Make him learn about the car before he beats the living **** out of it. Let him know that he's getting ready to spend alot of money.

Back in Michigan ... again.
A friend of mine went through his freshly rebuilt 93 ATX in barely 1 month. Was fond of neutral dropping 'till one day I caught him doing it. His excuse? It was the only way he could keep up with MTX SHO's  He's now on his 3rd transmission, and suffice to say he's learned his lesson.

Tried that on a rental Camry at 4K rpm. Never seen another Camry peel that long. Would never risk that on a SHO, causes damage to the diff.

Well, I tried. :)

sleepa...my bad; didn't mean to jump your case like that. I'm a MTX guy myself, and as such I know next to nothing about the automatics. So I stand humbly corrected. :)

Yes! A friend of mine does neutral drops, but he drives a Toyota Echo! Not a high end sports sedan!
