changed my valve cover gaskets today and it didn't go as bad as i thought but on the rail where the fuel line goes its leaking what is that thing called and why would it be leaking.

i did take them off for more clearance, should there be 2 shims on them 1 on top and one on the bottom?

Thats the fuel pressure regulator, those are not shims they are crush washers they are only good for a one time seal. Take them off and see if you local auto parts stores have some the same size and replace them. Most stores usually have kits of random sizes.

If your doing the waterpump for preventative maintenance you may wanna do the timing belt and cps while your in the area with it torn apart.

actually im doing the water pump because it is making noise not quiet doing the squeal yet plus my temp gets hot up to the red but once i start moving it drops so i figured a really good flush and new water pump might take care of that.

as for the timing belt when i had the cps replaced the the belt looked good.

Thanks Ben
