Team, ever since I have been flashing with SCT - I have been having issues with remote start in particular, key fob has new battery.

The car is locked, then do the remote sequence, car starts. Get into the car and put foot on brake, push start, car shuts down, and all dash lights come on. Now my tuner told me to just reflash, and make sure all powered items are off, AC - windows up - all the items we all should do when flashing. Same issue...

Then this AM - walking to the locked car, fob in hand grabbed the handle, the car locked itself, I have seen this before. That is not the issue, grab handle again, and door unlocks, and car double honked. The car was NOT remote started. Have only seen this when walking away the running car and fob is with me.

Thoughts? I have used forscan and reviewed all the settings - all were good - did that a week ago.

I just want to chime in and say that I feel like these key fobs are wonky to begin with. If I don’t sequentially hit the buttons in the right order with the right timing, my car will for a split second remote start itself then shut right off. Then it won’t remote start itself until I physically get in to start it. It’s strange. Also, the range is complete shit.

Funny I replace my battery once a year and seems my fob has decent range. This remote start issue ONLY creeped up after using SCT to tune, when using the HP Tuner my remote start worked fine.

Anyway it's a tried and true happens each time issue with remote start.

My remote start hasn’t worked since I installed the high flow cats, which causes the CEL to stay on.

I‘m pretty sure there is deep embedded programming that won’t allow the remote start to function if any type of anomaly is detected. CEL’s and tuning are probably two of those. some type of CYA on behalf of the corporate attorneys would be my guess.

Yeah my tuner didn't seem to know - not blaming him. But true let's figure the O2 is sending an error for sure though no light comes on and the gas requirements are being compensated for. Thanks for the input.

Our guy at AJP, that is a good and discussed next step. He did mention it as a last resort, throw the 2bar on and see if it is the tune. To be honest and now a night of sleep, the remote start function is controlled or run from the BCM body control module.

Here is some items I tried yesterday. Left hand menu - I disabled the system, and changed schedule options to get the system to save different settings. Then did the remote start, this time the following happened:

Locked the car, double tapped the remote start, car starts, but all idiot lights are on. Push brake hit start, car stays running, all idiot lights turn off, but still not working the proper way.

Just very weird, living in FL I use it like all the time.
