Need some help with 335 code....EGR???

Hey guys. I want to thank everyone for their help in the past. This website is invaluable for the novice. I am learning more about these cars each time I visit here. I am almost to the point that I can start some upgrades instead of fixing everything that is broken.

I need some more help. I'll give you the basics first.

Car is 93 ATX with slightly over 112,000 miles. As far as I know the car is completely stock with no performance upgrades. Since I've had it I've replaced the idle pulley, the coil pack, DIS module, O2s (Bosch), and Y-pipe w/cats all new. Used, I only have a rebuilt Alt.

The problem now is a slightly rougher idle and it wants to stall out coming to a stop (once or twice a day). It "feels" down on power as well after it warms up (about half way up the gauge).
The codes I got were:
335 EGR Feedback out of range
539 (A/C was on at beginning of test)

Please excuse these Non-Mechanic questions.

First what is the EGR? Second how do I check the EGR? Could a novice replace or repair it?

http://home.earthlink.net/~rcm_automotive/id14.html bottom of the page DPFE sensor -- that probably needs replaced. You will be able to see by the picture it is right there on the back of your intake held on by two screws and is an easy fix.

I think I threw a wells one from AZ in mine. Been good for what... 4 months and counting. Thats about all I can say. I know I have got other parts that are GP Sorenson though -- no problems. Never heard of Eckland, but I usually stay away from NAPA unless I need the part NOW. They usually have most everything in stock.

Got the right part and put it in with no problems. I don't an intermitant low idle but now it seems to run with a low idle as soon as it warms up and there is a noticable drop in power around 2000-3000 rpms.
I have not cleared the codes or reset the idle yet, but I will tonite. Here is a pic of the piece I took out:

It looks pretty nasty.
Is there anything else I should clean out or do before I reset everything? I would like it to be back to normal snicker: ) by this weekend for a trip to Jax.
