My headlights have window tint melted onto them and will not pass inspection.
I picked up a set to limp around with from Iowc but theyre faded and foggy and I'd prefer clear new ones.

Aftermarket or OEM will do.

I'm a bit confused though I looked on ebay and found these for like a total of $50

but then I found these SHO ones for $271??

What the **** is this?
Any recommendations? I need the whole housing from the painted grille area to the cornerlight

Those first lights you linked to are for a regular Taurus, not a SHO. They won't fit.

The Gen 2 SHOs used Sable headlights. Search for "94 Sable headlights" and you'll find them much cheaper than the ones in your second link. You'll have to reuse your "fishtank" housings though, as the Sable lights don't come with new ones.

I had the same issue, but they can be cleaned up pretty well with a buffer. My car has new Sable lights and old fishtanks. They looked like crap. I wet-sanded them and then buffed them with a 6" bench grinder, and now they look nearly new.

Aw what the..
Does it come apart from the spoiler or is it only the whole thing?

I would need to bring like a 12V battery with me to test them all.
I want one that doesn't have a burned out light. Mine has a few burnt

$16 for the 3M Headlight Refinishing kit. Just add a drill, and it does an amazing job. It's a 3-step process, and it made the very yellow lights on my '89 look like new. The one-step Meguiars kit appears to work on decent headlights, but a couple of folks said it didn't clear old yellow ones. Takes under an hour for both, which includes masking off the paint.

My beef with clearing headlights is that the adhesive yellows, So your lens are clear but you can still see the yellowed adhesive. When I do replace headlights with Sable units, I'm going to take apart the fishtanks, Ad a new adhesive and put back together.

How do you remove the old adhesive? Crack open the lights?
Should I use like 3M Plastic cement or something?

I currently have blacked out fishtanks I forget if it's painted or window tinted like the headlights. But with the older headlights I put on; it actually doesn't look bad with regular lights + black fishtank

If you want to be more creative, you could open it up and put NEW leds in them. I you not sure how to do it, I could do it for you if you ship me your light from the spoiler. I deal with LED and HID everyday.
