Need info on deleting the cats

Hey so I got a 2015 ecoboost should I drill out the cats and use the same pipes just hallowed or should I just cut the cats out completely and weld a pipe instead or should I buy high flow cats?? What will be the best idea or what are the cons and pros in the 3 options?

I assume you have emissions testing in NY? Or is it location inside the state dependent? Also depends on how thorough state inspection person is to make sure there are cats present to visual inspection. A few depends in the answer I think.

The cats themselves aren't actually the issue on the Ecoboost, more so it's the diameter of the downpipes that are restrictive and contain unnecessary bends in the exhaust that cause that restriction.

For emissions compliance I would keep the cats, but upgrade to either a set of PPE or Stainless Works downpipes to get the power increase and sound you are after. We offer both, with the PPE offering being $1300-1600 depending on options with a 12-14 week leadtime currently, and the SW version on an 8 week lead currently due to material constrains and at $980.

The PPE are guaranteed to pass emissions and not set of any codes, the Stainless Works version are hit and miss, hence the big price difference.

I got someone who as long as the check engine don’t show he will pass me the test even if I don’t got an engine lol so km not worried about passing inspection test as long as no check engine light is on

If that is the case then you can do whatever you want. They do hook up the computer for emissions if that is applicable but you can probably tune around that or use a defouler on the O2s

those are all F-150 midpipes minus the one Stainless Works set. The rest aren't compatible with our cars, they are made for a longitudinal engine frame.
