Is the RH cylinder head normally very difficult to remove? The little things are killing me. I have the intake manifold off, the head covers are off, and the eight bolts holding the cylinder head are out. I removed the timing belt cam sprockets etc... (this is the lower part of a 60k * 10). I thought I had removed all wire and hose brackets attached but found one last one on the drivers side that I can't get a socket or wrench on the bolt holding it. I removed the fuel rail and every other thing connected to the head. On the rear of the engine under the throttle body (before I removed it) there is a piece of cast iron attached to the head with 2 or 3 coolant hoses running into it. The piece is nearly impossible to get off because one of the hoses is about 2 inches long with only about a 1/2" gap between both fittings. Also wiring is always in the way, anybody have any tips on how to deal with some of the things mentioned? On the good side it took me about 5 seconds to get the crank bolt loose this time vs. hours the first time I did it thumb .

You mean the aluminum water outlet assembly (both LH and RH connected together by that podunk piece of hose?

Remove all the bolts (five), all the hoses, the sensor wires, then pop the whole assembly off the rear of the engine. That will get it out of your way.

As for the wiring harnesses, yeah some of those bolts are tough to get to. Once you get everything loosened, some large tiewraps work well in securing the harnesses and hoses out of your way.

Steve, thanks so much for the reply, I feel that I'm on the right track now and not needlessly taking off a bunch of parts. I have only found 3 nuts so far, I will search for the other 2 when the weather warms up here in Virginia. As for the tubing, I'm thinking I will just cut it off with a razor blade and replace it with new stuff before putting the head back on. There are also places where about a foot of metal tubing connects two pieces of hose, can this be cut out and replaced with flexible hose? I like the zip tie idea, definately going to give it a try.
