Im posting this for my buddies 94 mtx......stock except for maf and lpm.
the car is misfiring only in freezing temps.
Ok this has been a reoccuring problem, when its freezing out.... but now it seems the coil pack loses its integrity when cold air rushes into the engine compartment.. because at idle sitting still while its warming up it runs fine.......and drives fine for like 2 min....the plugs and wires have 10k on them. and its has a pretty fresh 60k.
car has 142k on the clock. and i dont think the coil pack has been changed....

You really need to pull the EEC codes first. :)

Why do you suspect the coil pack? Ive rarely heard of coil packs failing.

Id suspect the MAF in regards to low temp misfires before suspecting the coil pack.

I have the same problem with my car. Cold starts, and it'll misfire for a couple of minutes, and then smooth out eventually.

It's been doing this for 3 years, and I still don't have it nailed down.

Clean all ground path connections! Starter also! Add a ground wire to the 2 lower screws on the DIS to the strut tower or firewall, add a ground from the throtle body to the firewall. A good ground path solves a lot of issues!
