After all the money and work I put into that showagon. More problems. This dont seem to major, just very very annoying and i'm afraid its going to leave me stranded somewhere.

While driving, most of the time drives great and normal. Every once in a while it will misfire, skip a couple, then drive normal. Mostly during heavy throttle, but very intermittently. Most of the time no problem, just once in a while!

When it is misfiring the check engine light flashes on the short while and as soon as its back to normal, goes off. Its especially annoying when it happens between shifts or stopping, cause it stalls the engine, its also sometimes hard to start. It could be the wires, but that wouldn't cause the check engine to flash on when it misfires?

I changed the DIS 2 times with all my spares, one of which I know is good, same thing each. Changed the M relay, same thing. Changed coil pack, same! The crank and cam sensors are both new from about a year or 2 ago.

Any ideas?

I would reset the codes. If the pip code returns, I would change the crank sensor. I know its pretty new, but every time I've seen the pip code, the crank sensor was sick.

Yeah, is what I was thinking. The cam sensor controls fuel right? Crank, spark? I'll just have to get another new one, good thing there not that expensive.

Changed out the crank sensor, same thing. wasn't it, lol. It doesnt seem as bad now, but still studders, but I havn't noticed the check engine light flashing when it does. I looked up when i did a normal drive home from work, no coolant coming from waterpump that I can see, and I dont see anything at all dripping while it was running, not that.

I also tapped and moved around the sensors and wire connections, nothing, idles fine. I'm going to take off the intake and unplug, replug everything under that, all the fuel injectors, which there new to. Change out the wire. Check the spark plugs, which there fairly new to. Hopefully that does it. Also changing out the little intake hoses.

May as well try adding a supplemental DIS ground. Easy to do and will at least rule out grounding issue.

Also, is the water pump leaking on the CPS? I had one of those Cardone rebuilt pumps that leaked after just a thousand miles or so on it. If all that checks out, I'd look at the CID.

I have similar sporadic misfire. Driving me nuts!! New plugs, wires, cleaned MAF, new crank sensor, upgraded to D4U1 EEC-IV, new O2 sensors.

I have some more DISes, coil packs, and a MAF on their way that I got from another forum member here. Going to try those too.

I am taking for grated that the previous owner that I got the car from in January actually did what he said he did. Which was new plugs, wires, crank sensor, water pump, (60k), etc. That might be my first mistake though. LOL

Mine seems to do this only once it hits normal operating temp. Related?

Well I got the new ignition parts, but the coil packs were wrong, the MAF was no good, but I swapped the DIS. Same issue.

I have only changed the front O2 sensor...I wonder if the rear one may be causing my issue. Wire, plugs, crank sensor, new in the last 6 months.

Have to send my ODB1 scanner back to the member I got it from, as it doesn't work properly on my car.

It misses at idle, studders a bit off the line, but seems oke after about 1700 rpm and up.
